According to Wikipedia “William Shakespeare was an English playwright, poet and actor. He is widely regarded as the greatest writer in the English language and the world’s pre-eminent dramatist. He is often called England’s national poet and the “Bard of Avon”.” Shakespeare was born in April 1564 and died in April 1616. Some of his more famous plays are Macbeth, Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, and The Tempest. He wrote many more plays, poems, tragedies, and sonnets, but these are some more famous ones. Some people even consider him the greatest English author.

This past week I have been reading from the King James Bible and it has been very interesting. The wording is very different from any Bible that I have ever read. The King James Bible was an early modern translation of the Bible for the church of England. This is called the King James Bible because it was sponsored by King James IV and I.

Is it easier to read Shakespeare or the King James Bible? In the past few years I have read some plays by Shakespeare and at first I didn’t know what half of the words meant.  Now I still Don’t under stand a few of the words, but it is easier to read his plays.

The King James Bible is similar to Shakespeare writing, but much more words are easier to understand. In my opinion the Kin James Bible is easier to read than any of Shakespeare plays.
